The meaning of the gathering
A geocaching experience turned into legend
GeoMari 2026 is the new edition of the annual geocaching gathering organised in the Muskiz area. This edition is built around The Forge of the Four Elements, a narrative inspired by Basque mythology and the symbolic power of the landscape.
Four guardians — Iratzar, Itsasargi, Barbadun and Triano — watch over the forces that maintain Amalur's balance. Against them rises Hesteak, the shadow of the old forge, intent on breaking the harmony between earth, water, fire and air.
The event combines community, exploration, storytelling, discovery and camaraderie. The intention is for every participant to feel that they are not merely attending a scheduled date, but are part of a shared journey.
